RAYMOND SPORT MAKES WISHES COME TRUE
Raymond Sport is delighted to have supported the Towers Rotana Dubai in their Tandem Skydive Charity Event held on the 26th November 2008 to raise money for the ‘Make A Wish’ foundation. ‘Make A Wish’ supports critically ill children, allowing them to live their dreams.
The Tandem Skydive Jump was organised by Towers Rotana Dubai to raise enough money for Rahma, a 12 year old girl who has been diagnosed with Leukaemia, to travel to Malaysia to see the elephants with her parents and five siblings.
Two staff members from Towers Rotana Dubai, Danielle Aychouh the Marketing and Communications Manager along with Donna Kenyon the Recreation Manager jumped from 10,000 feet in a sponsored 40 second free-fall to help Rahma's fulfill her wish.
The event, which was the brainchild of the enthusiastic management team at the Towers Rotana Hotel, attracted support from a number of organisations throughout the UAE. In addition to Raymond Sport, the charity event was also supported by Big Bus, True Colours Advertising Agency, Intermetal, Stallion Printing and the Magic Touch Company.
Both Donna and Danielle explained: “These families are strong people who face their fears everyday, by jumping out of a plane we were doing something which was out of the box, but where we where we also had to face out fears.”
Raymond Kelly, Director of Raymond Sport explains: “My company is delighted to have supported the Towers Rotana Dubai in this extreme challenge. This challenge epitomises what we are all about – the ability to push your limits and live life to the full. We wish Rahma a fantastic trip to Malaysia.”
