CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF RAYMONDSPORT

 

Raymond Sport, the sport and leisure company has been building squash courts in the UAE for over 20 years. Director Raymond Kelly, and General Manager, Andy Staines are both enthusiastic squash players, (in the case of Raymond he was an enthusiastic player, now an enthusiastic spectator) so it is not really surprising that the Raymond Sport business continues to commit to squash in Dubai and the UAE.

Amongst the courts we support are these at The Pavilion Sports Club Jumeirah Beach Hotel, probably one of the busiest clubs in Dubai, and one of the few clubs that can boast three courts. Raymond Sport also sponsors the squash courts at Emirates Golf Club and the courts at The Lakes Club (Hayya), Emirates Hills.

Former World No. 1 and Commonwealth Champion Peter Nicol MBE, has been a familiar sight recently in the RS offices when he visited Dubai for sport and business related consultancy. Being the Hero that he is, Peter is always up for a game, pictured here chasing down one of Andy’s drives into the back corner. The look on his face says it all!

Connor Sport Court International Flaunt Their Green Credentials
Two Manufacturing plants in Michigan and Utah, Both ZERO Waste Certified!

At the request of Connor Sport Court International (CSCI), SWCA Environmental Performance Group (EPG), headquartered in the USA has performed an independent, audit of CSCI’s solid waste disposal practices.

 

 

The scope of this audit included a review of the annual tonnage of landfill waste, recycled waste, reused waste and recycling policies and practices. From the information review, EPG calculated the landfill diversion rate for each of CSCI’s manufacturing facilities and for the company as a whole. In addition, EPG interviewed relevant CSCI staff regarding recycling practices at each facility as well as employee awareness of, and engagement in, CSCI’s landfill waste diversion practices.

The audit results indicate that CSCI has achieved 99% landfill diversion rate that exceeds the internationally recognized landfill diversion rate of 90% which qualifies then for designation as a Zero Waste company.
