FIFA award Act Global Synthetic Turf Two Star Criteria

August has been a huge month for Act Global and Carpell Surfaces’ synthetic turf as the surfacing achieved the highest level of FIFA recommendation and became the chosen flooring at Montreal’s Olympic stadium for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The synthetic turf, produced by Act Global and expertly installed by Carpell Surfaces, needed to pass rigorous laboratory and field testing to win the accreditation based on benchmarks of natural grass fields in good condition.

Tested on its tuft bind, durability, UV stability, ball roll and rebound, traction, deformation and shock absorption, Act Global’s Xtreme Turf DX60 was awarded the prestigious FIFA Two Stars.

Supplied as the turf pitch at Montreal’s Olympic stadium, fans saw the flooring in action at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with ten tournament games being held at the arena throughout August beginning with France Vs Costa Rica on August 4th and ending with the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Final final yesterday (24th August).

Raymond Sport proud to introduce Pebbleflex

Raymond Sport are delighted to introduce Pebbleflex rubber playground surfacing to their portfolio of leisure construction products.

The revolutionary new flooring solution is super strong and durable to withstand active play and changing weather conditions as well as being low maintenance and incredibly safe.

Unlike traditional poured in or rubber surfacing, Pebbleflex uses an advanced technology to bond together millions of tiny spherical abrasion and UV resistant polyurethane pebbles. The pebbles are then set in a clear polyurethane binder making the surface significantly stronger than typical non-bonded rubber granule surfacing.

Pebbleflex also boasts an exemplary safety record, tested for falls up to 12 feet, the flooring meets all safety and accessibility requirements and is anti-skid making for safe, happy play.

The team at Raymond Sport, a leading name in leisure sports construction products, have already started using Pebbleflex across playground surfacing and other projects with successful installations including the Sofitel Hotel Palm Jumeirah. The luxurious hotel requested a fabulous bright turtle design around their pool area guaranteeing a fantastic finish, low maintenance and safe option for poolside play.
